The Choir go to Córfhéile!

Córfhéile is a non-competitive musical festival where a number of schools around Dublin perform in the Basketball Arena in Tallaght. There are nine separate shows; some are matinees and some are night shows. All schools watch each other perform along with an audience of parents and teachers. Our school choir, made up of boys and girls from 3rd to 6th class, got the bus at 10am this morning and returned after lunch. We performed 3 songs; Punkrocker, Seo é d’amhrán and finished with Don’t Look Back in Anger. The children put on a great performance and really enjoyed themselves. The judge Dr Mary O’Flynn gave some great feedback! In particular, she noted how well the children engaged with the songs and said that their diction was very clear!

We are so proud of our fantastic choir here in St.Mark’s and want to congratulate them and their teachers, Ms. Carroll and Ms.McEvoy, on a super performance today. They work tirelessly all year round and we thank them for all their hard work! Well done boys and girls!
